Group Dance/Movement Therapy

Join a supportive community of individuals on a shared journey towards well-being. Our group sessions offer a collaborative environment where participants can connect, express themselves, and explore themes such as body awareness, self-expression, and interpersonal dynamics through movement. Together, we'll cultivate resilience, build connections, and foster a sense of belonging.

Small, supportive virtual Dance/Movement Therapy groups

Why group?

Group therapy can be incredibly healing, especially when we’re feeling alone with our experiences.

In a Dance/Movement Therapy group, we use gentle movement, mindfulness, creativity, and conversation to explore what’s happening in our bodies and lives. Members often come looking for:

  • New coping skills for stress, anxiety, or overwhelm
  • Support around life transitions, burnout, or recovery
  • A safer space to be seen, heard, and understood
  • A more compassionate relationship with their own body

You do not need to be a dancer to participate. All bodies, all levels of movement, and all identities are welcome.

What my groups are like

  • Virtual & small: Groups meet online and are kept small (usually 4–8 people) so we can build trust and connection.
  • Closed cohort: Most groups run as a 6-week series with the same members each week so we can go deeper together.
  • Trauma-informed & paced: Everything is invitational. Movement is gentle and adaptable—sitting, standing, or even lying down is welcome.
  • Mind–body focused: We use movement, grounding, breath, imagery, journaling, art, and discussion to support emotional regulation and self-understanding.

You might be a good fit if you’re open to:

  • Exploring your body’s signals and stories

  • Showing up for yourself weekly for 6 weeks

  • Sharing space with others who are also healing

How it works

Step 1 – Join the Group Interest List
Click the button below to complete a short Group Interest Form. This helps me learn about your needs, goals, and scheduling.

Step 2 – Free 15-minute consult
I’ll review your form and reach out by email to schedule a brief consult call. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping for, answer questions, and make sure a group setting feels appropriate and safe right now.

Step 3 – Get matched with a group
When a group forms that fits your needs and availability, I’ll invite you to join that specific 6-week cohort. I’ll send details about the theme, dates, time, fees, and expectations so you can decide if it feels right.

Step 4 – Reserve your spot & begin
Once you confirm, you’ll reserve your spot (either by paying in full or setting up weekly payment). Then we meet weekly on Zoom for 6 weeks, with movement, reflection, and time for integration.
